We’ve finally got confirmation on the launch day of Team Fortress 2’s latest patch. Valve has already dubbed this patch the “largest update ever” and with the Heavy already declared as the next in line for the big push, we’re excited to see just how large and gun-toating this patch really is.

Expected for download on August 19^th, Valve will continually be releasing information and screenshots about the patch each day between now and then. We’ll also be receiving another “Meet the Team” video to add to the current series. So far, the only thing fully revealed is th name of the new map, cp_steel.

The patch will include Heavy specific updates (weapons and achievements), new multiplayer maps, and a brand new gameplay mode. Make sure to get your noob friends into the game by having them play the free TF2 weekend starting August 22^nd at 2pm EST.
