The Virtual Console on the Nintendo Wii has been pretty hit or miss with the games that come out. Granted, there have been quite a few gems to make their way over to this new digital distribution, but many have left gamers wondering why they even keep up with it.

This weeks releases, at least the first one, are well worth the investment:

Mega Man (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) The game that started it all. Take control of everyones favorite Blue Bomber as you defeat the evil robots built by Dr.Wily. If you’ve never had a chance to play the original on your NES, make sure you pick this one up.

Neo Turf Masters (Neo Geo, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points) Remember all those games you wasted your quarters on at the bowling alley or Papa Ginos? This is one of them. But now, you only have to buy it once! This wonderful golf game for the Neo Geo launched in 1996 and it probably should have stayed there.
