Wipeout HD has been built up to be one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring video games projected to come out in the near future. But that near future line is really what seems to catch SCEA up. The game has received so many delays that people are starting to wonder whether the game will actually be futuristic by the time it launches.
But recently, WipeoutHD’s producer Daimion Pinnock had the chance to give the world a little bit more solid of an update as to why things have been hush hush and what the catch has been.
The game has received a little bit more stable launch time window of this coming fall. There have been some hiccups with the graphics and audio but those seem to be all set at this point. The game will launch as a PSN exclusive, running in 1080p at 60fps and offer plenty of play options. You’ll be able to do play it out in two-player splitscreen, eight-player online play, receive trophies, and of course utilize the 6-axis control pad.
