With Nintendo putting the big kibosh on production of Wavebird controllers the begining of this year, I’ve found myself being forced to buy a classic controller for the Wii. My attempts to steal my girlfriends Wavebird have failed just as my skills at handling the classic controller have as well.

But now Nintendo is setting up to release a corded Wii colored gamecube controller in Japan. Doesn’t that look like they’re admitting defeat with the classic controller? So why cord a next gen system controller when the people have spoken, we want the Wavebird!
