The rumors have been flying lately as to whether or not Capcom was actually planning to remake Resident Evil 2 for the Nintendo Wii. This goes past the original rumor that the game would simply be ported over and has even been stated in the popular Japanese magazine Famitsu.

After reading the allegation that this would actually be happening in print, Christian Svensson, VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development at Capcom responded with “This isn’t worth a comment” when asked whether or not this rumor was actually true.

So there you have it, the death of the Resident Evil 2 remake for the Nintendo Wii.
