In what had previously been a mildly hush hush conversation, Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two ha breifly mentioned why the Wii didn’t feel like the right choice for Grand Theft Auto IV.
Not long after that short conversation, Dan Houser from Rockstar had a chance to speak with Nintendo Power and explained that the Wii "didn’t feel natural" to build a Grand Theft Auto game for. That becomes confusing when the game was then ported to the Nintendo DS.
While House explains that they felt the DS offered something unique and new to where they could bring things with Grand Theft Auto, his statements clearly spell out that the studio just hasn’t put much thought into the Nintendo Wii at all. This doesn’t mean they won’t be, but for right now it’s fairly clear that they haven’t and don’t intend to rush right into it.
Just imagine what GTA4 for the Wii would have been like....
