Lots of people have been confused as to what Halo 3: Recon really is, and have questioned what type of gameplay it will offer. Essentially, Recon is a first person shooter which feels very much like a Halo game, but instead of playing a space marine, you’ll be fitted into the boots of an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Which is basically Halo’s version of a weekend warrior. You’ll have to pick and choose your battles instead of running in and slaughtering everything in sight. Think of it at Gears of War, without the third person. The game is a stand alone game and will come with achievements totaling 1000 to add to your gamerscore.
