This is a bit of bad news for all of your Half Life fans out there. If marketing Vice President Doug Lombardi is any indication, it looks like we won’t be seeing Gordon in his third installment of the Half Life 2 series until sometime in 2010.

Lombardi has stated the next time we’ll get to play as Gordon will be longer than the distance between the previous two additions, so factoring in Valve development time and their release date hang ups, we’ll definitely not see any new Half Life action until 2010. However, Lombardi did mention that we could receive a glimpse into Episode 3 by the end of this year, which is reassuring, even if it’s only in the form of a couple of screenshots.
