By rewiring the Rock Band drum set foot pedal into a doorbell button attached to a drum stick, this hurdle was easily cleared. Probably not a beginners modification, and definitely going to require you to buy an extra pedal (check ebay), this mod is going to require you to find the perfect drum stick to attach the button to.

But what about those of us who can barely play the four drum heads let alone focus on pressing down our thumb?!
