The steam didn’t stop after the first week with Take-Two Interactive’s Grand Theft Auto IV, selling over 6 Million units in the first week alone. All previous video game sales records where shattered for highest day one and week one sales, leaving Take-Two with a hefty $500 million hanging out of their wallet.

But as the latest report from Take-Two’s financial side has shown, the company has hit over 11 Million copies sold to retailers and 8.5 Million to consumers since the games launch not to long ago. It’ll be tough to dethrone them of this record, but we’ll have to wait and see what type of damage the highly anticipated titles of this year can do.
