In an attempt to further steal your time away, Blizzard has been considering implementing achievements with the latest expansion to World of Warcraft. Wrath of the Lich King is already slated to have a plethora of goodies for you to enjoy, but leaked shots from the alpha have given way to speculation that you’ll soon be getting even bigger medals of nerd honor.

There are plenty of jokes that could be made about how lame the achievements could be, but the real question is, why distract from their PvP system which offers rewards for actually achieving things by simply giving them something useless in game? We’ll have to see how far into development this idea sticks and if it will be able to provide any benefit at all.
