In the continuing practice of charging us $5-$10 more per game than any other company, Square Enix has announced that they will in fact be launching Final Fantasy IV for the DS towards the end of July. Keeping with the fashion of Final Fantasy III on the DS, the game will have received a complete graphical overhaul and become fully 3D with cut scenes and all.

Fans of the franchise will ignore the price increase that Square Enix has stood strong by, but we’ll have to see just how much of the classic game feel stays around, or if the original audience of the game just isn’t interested anymore.
