There couldn’t be a more humorous way to find out that the ESRB will be cracking down on leaking game release information then through a memo from them that was leaked out.
The ESRB’s rating system will review and rate a game before it is released or even announced to have everything ready for launch. But their website lists the new ratings almost instantly, revealing information that might not have otherwise been known. The ESRB has set up a new 30 day policy or the ability for companies to request a release date for their information to appear on their website, to prevent further issues.
