Lost in a fit of joy over Megaman 9 coming to the Wii? Another harbinger of good things to come, a new Adventure Island is being worked on to be released for WiiWare.

Straight from the mouth of Hudson’s Takashi Meijin during a roundtable interview comes the news. It’s unclear whether or not the game will be 2D or some sort of update, but if it’s on WiiWare, I’d bet it’s the former.

Forget new innovative indie games (not really, but work with me), I want retro versions of my beloved NES franchises, thank you very much.
