Sony was unfortunately plagued by the recent bricking of numerous systems due to their 2.4 firmware update. Baffled as to what the cause of this situation could actually be, they took the firmware off the downloads sections and allowed for a revert of their firmware to the privious stable build.

As to not disappoint, however, Sony has taken this matter very serious, looking into what may have harmed these systems and how they can fix it. An expected update is assumed to be hitting the streets this week, but there is no final word as to whether or not it will be.
